Having spent most of their successful careers in the health and service industries, Sandra Brown and Clay Begly wanted a healthy food alternative to the common fast food fix. As busy entrepreneurs- they often succumbed to the convenience of fast food- Sandra’s concern, as a nurse, was to have a product that was healthy- something she would feel good about feeding her own family- a product that not only would taste great, but be a good useable source of carbohydrates as well.
Out of Sandra’s love of baking and passionate entrepreneur spirit, Didoughs Twisted Pretzel Company was born. Having run successful businesses in Pennsylvania, the Pretzel Capital of the U.S.- pretzels seemed the natural choice.
Sandra spent many long hours perfecting the Didough’s wholesome pretzel dough. Clay spent many long hours laying out the design of the store. They chose to debut their product at local community events. The response was so overwhelming that they decided to go ahead and try their hand at retail.
Their first location in Peru, IL was so successful that they opened a second in Peoria, IL and then a third in Princeton, IL. Each location works hard to consistently offer the unique, fresh products you have come to expect. “It’s time! To taste the Didough’s difference!”.
